What stories are

A story is a photo, a short video or a line of text that disappears after 24 hours. Sellers use them to show new stock, behind-the-scenes and quick updates without adding a listing; everyone can use them to keep followers in the loop.

Stories from the people you follow appear in a row at the top of Home. Tap one to watch; tap or swipe to move on.

Posting a story

  1. Open Create and choose Story.
  2. Take a photo or video, pick one from your gallery, or type a text status.
  3. For a video, trim it to between 1 and 60 seconds.
  4. Add a caption, and if you like, attach one of your listings or wishes so viewers can open it.
  5. Choose who can see it, and share.

Stories are posted from the app. The website can show them.

In the app: Create tab → Story

Who sees your story

Public
Anyone who opens your profile or stories.
My followers
Only people who follow you.
Only me
Nobody else.

You can mark a story 18+ with audience control. Change the default for new stories under Post defaults.

Viewers, likes and comments

On your own story you can see who viewed it. Viewers can like it and comment on it, and you are notified. You can delete a story at any time before it disappears.

Muting someone’s stories

If you want to keep following someone but not see their stories, mute their stories from the story itself. They are not told. To hide someone completely, block them.
